Diploma in Early Childhood Education or a Bachelor of Early Childhood Education (or an equivalent as recognized by ACECQA). A current and valid check that confirms the candidate's suitability to work with children. First Aid certificate including training in asthma and anaphylaxis. Essential Skills and Attributes:
In-depth knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and the National Quality Standard (NQS) to ensure quality practices and outcomes for children. Capability to guide, mentor and provide direction to other educators in the room or setting. Strong verbal and written communication skills for interacting with children, families, colleagues, and management. Experience in designing, implementing, and assessing educational programs that cater to the individual needs of children. Foster positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues to promote a collaborative environment. Desirable Skills and Knowledge:
Previous experience in a Lead Educator, Room Leader, or similar role in an early childhood setting. Ability to create an environment where all children, including those with additional needs, can thrive and learn. Ability to work in partnership with other educators, support staff, and external professionals to enhance children's learning and wellbeing. Proficiency in using relevant software for children's documentation, communication with families, and educational planning. If you aren't an exact match still apply!
