About Us:
Busselton Family Holiday House (BFHH) is a professionally managed short-term holiday rental advertised on Airbnb/booking.com/stayz & with its own website/Instagram & Facebook pages. Operating for 17 years but fully renovated in 2023, it accommodates up to 12 guests (up to 9 beds) and is Shire, WA Government and WA Tourism Business Accredited. It is located one street from the beach on Marine Terrace offering family-friendly amenities, including bikes, kayaks, toys, and more.
What We Offer: Well Above Award Pay Rates : Weekdays $35/hr | Saturdays $42.50/hr | Sundays $45/hr | Public Holidays $65/hr Approx. $15,500 annually (inclusive of super, based on FY24/5 estimated 90 changeovers/year and ~20% of those on weekends). Family Friendly Schedule : Core changeover hours weeks are between 10am and 2pm with typically 1-4 changeovers per week throughout the year (~90-100 total annually in CY2024). Hands-on Supportive owner (Perth) : who has family & friend connections local to Busselton and still does changeovers, cleaning herself and has good understanding of time required to do things. Key Responsibilities: Housekeeping and Changeovers :Complete guest changeovers between 10 AM–2 PM to a 5-star standard. Clean all rooms, living areas, bathrooms, kitchen, and outdoor areas. Maintain 4 sets of Sheridan linen inventory (laundrette fees reimbursed). Cyclical deep & spring cleaning tasks – Job checklists exist for all aspects. Property Management :Restock household supplies (toiletries, cleaning items, batteries etc.). Ensure all appliances, lighting, and guest amenities (e.g., coffee, table tennis equipment) are in working order. Perform light maintenance tasks such as sweeping patios and checking outdoor areas. Manage smart locking system onsite (logs access through wifi), battery replacement, and WIFI connection. Guest Readiness :Prepare the property for guest arrivals, ensuring cleanliness and comfort. Proactively identify and address issues with the property. Communication :Liaise with the owner, tradespeople, and a casual maintenance assistant as needed. Provide photos and updates of any guest damage or issues. Skills and Experience: Strong attention to detail and high standards of presentation. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively. Previous cleaning/housekeeping experience preferred. Basic computer/phone skills for WhatsApp updates.
