As a member of the Office of the Independent Regulator (the Office), the Business Systems Analyst plays a key role in providing strategic, analytical and technical advice to management on systems and services to identify requirements, opportunities and recommendations that support its strategic and business outcomes. This position will lead systems administration and understand the interdependencies of other business systems. The role is responsible for identifying and implementing process improvements, systems capability, integrity and reporting.

DutiesImplement business process improvements incorporating meaningful analytics to drive business decisions.Liaise with internal stakeholders to provide ongoing strategic advice regarding business improvement and system change management.Develop and maintain clear user documentation for business systems and processes.As a 'superuser' for case management system, be the initial point of contact for providing advice related to business systems, including troubleshooting. Provide backup administrator services for the investigator.Management of the business systems, including but not limited to, undertaking workflows, management of files, creating web form templates and creating new user profiles.Undertake website monitoring and reporting against key performance indicators.Identifying system defects, triaging defects and maintenance tasks, coordinating testing and implementation of defect fixes.Ensure new equipment, software and application purchases comply with processes and are fit for purpose.Undertake tasks to support the administration of the complaint management system including the resolution of issues, liaising upgrades where required in conjunction with the relevant technology teams and contractors.Contribute to the development of complaint management system processes and guidelines relevant to the office.Provide instructions to resolve issues that arise.Working with different teams to develop and produce accessible content for the office to support the broad operations of the service in communicating about the Reportable Conduct Scheme, the Child and Youth Safe Organisations Framework and the Child Safe standards.Undertake small projects and web development tasks as required to support the cycle of continuous improvement for website design and functionality of the office's web presence.The incumbent can expect to be allocated duties not specifically mentioned in this document that are within the capacity, qualifications and experience normally expected from persons occupying positions at this classification level.Other statutes or policies as may be required and not specifically listed.Pre-employment ChecksThe Head of State Service has determined that the person nominated for this vacancy is to satisfy a pre-employment check before taking up the appointment, promotion or transfer.

2.Disciplinary action in previous employment.
