Your BusinessGroup Operations is the engine room of the CBA Group dedicated to running, improving, and transforming the processes that deliver products, services and productivity benefits to the CBA Group's customers. Our Financial Crime Services (FCS) are accountable for leading a complex and diverse shared services for Financial Crime Operations across CBA domestically and internationally.
Your Team & PurposeThe Business Systems Owner team is dedicated to supporting Financial Crime Services. We work across multiple Business Units, spanning global locations and various financial crime disciplines including Anti-money laundering/Transaction Monitoring, Payments Sanctions Screening, Customer Sanctions Screening, Pep Screening, Enhanced Customer Due Diligence of High-Risk customers, on-boarding, ongoing due diligence and maintenance, and Law Enforcement Agency Notices.
Our immediate team's purpose is to detect, deter, and disrupt financial crime by managing and providing access to best-in-class systems and tools for our operations staff to perform their day-to-day tasks.
The Business Systems Owner plays a critical role in bridging technical business needs, acting as the advocate for our Financial Crime Operations systems and ensuring it evolves to meet changing requirements. This role ensures that the system supports Financial Crime Services objectives, complies with regulations, and meets user needs.
On any given day you will:
Strategy & Roadmap:

Review and contribute to system strategy, roadmap and BAU enhancements backlog to meet business objectives.
Contribute to COO strategy and consulted about other strategic initiatives related to particular systems.

Collaboration & Communications:

Proactive collaboration with wider stakeholder groups and support business change management.
Uplift team's capability relating to AML/CTF & Sanctions processes including training, Comms and awareness.

Systems Management and change delivery:

Maintain an overall understanding of the business functionalities and business controls to ensure continuity of optimal system performance and business outcomes are met. (e.g. review reporting to identify issues, perform CAP testing)
Drive and oversee the day-to-day management to maintain system relevance, reliability, & security of FCO systems.
Partner with various technology teams to manage IT incidents and crisis management to ensure systems downtime are minimised.
Drive and support different project initiatives (risk remediation, Continues improvements, technology changes etc.).
Conduct business impact assessment of technical or process changes and approve change requests to FCO systems.
Own and drive FCO system maintenance plans and continues improvements opportunities.

Performance Monitoring and Reporting:

Prepare periodic reporting to share FCO's systems performance and overall status including incidents, problem records, and change delivery with stakeholders.

Risk Management and Compliance:

Ownership of business-related risks, issues, incidents and problems management.
Responsible for the mitigation of risks for the service over its full lifecycle.
Responsible for managing and reviewing user's access.

Supplier Management Governance:

Liaise with FCO's service suppliers and manage service-level agreements (SLAs) and contracts, ensuring the suppliers meets performance expectations and addressing any issues with external partners.

We are interested in hearing from people with:

Financial Crime Compliance expertise within the transformation scope
Hands on experience designing and building automation solutions to deliver transformative change
Previous experience in system management or product management is desirable.
Experience in Agile practices
Experience managing resources and multiple priorities operating in an Innovation, Design and delivery environment
Technology literate and able to identify opportunities to deliver a step change using emerging technologies.
Strong passion and drive to innovate and lead change
Demonstrable business and communication acumen and strong communication skills
Service Management, Supplier Governance and Product Management or Owner experience is a plus
