Your new role
This department is seeking a highly organised and proactive Business Support Officer to join their dynamic team within the State Government. This role is pivotal in ensuring the smooth operation of the office systems and providing exceptional support to its staff and external stakeholders.
Office Systems: Maintain efficient office systems. Reception: Handle calls and monitor the primary voice mailbox. Correspondence: Prioritise mail, meeting requests, and other correspondence. Project Support Assist with member meetings, including venue, travel, and material arrangements. Filing System: Establish and maintain a secure and confidential filing system. Information Requests: Follow up and collate data. Liaison: Coordinate with staff and external parties on Voice Opportunity activities. HR Administration: Manage payroll, HR forms, role management, and related tasks. Finance Processes: Process invoices, reports, and purchase card reconciliations. Awareness: Stay informed on general voice issues to enhance support functions. Director Support: Address urgent enquiries and emerging issues. What you'll need to succeed Previous experience in a similar role within a government or corporate environment. Strong organisational and multitasking skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. High level of accuracy and attention to detail. The ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a proactive approach to problem-solving. Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
