Business Support Officer

Schwartz Excavations are looking for a self-motivated, energetic, hands-on person to join our team in the role of Business Support Officer.
Directly reporting to the Business Manager of Schwartz Excavations, you will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day activities of the office, working with the Business Manager, Office Manager, Operations Manager, project personnel, office staff, and trade staff to ensure efficient and effective business management around Schwartz Excavations' processes.
About the Role: Assist with accounts payable, receivable, and payrollLiaise with clients, suppliers, and contractors regarding invoices, payments, and other business mattersAssist in the preparation of financial reports for managementInvoice processing, payment management, record keeping, vendor communication, and complianceProvide support to the management team with ad hoc financial requirements and administrative tasksEnsure systems have updated informationAssist in the management of training profiles and competenciesEnsure business compliance to meet legislative obligationsSupport ongoing changes within the businessPre-Requisites of the Role: Significant demonstrated experience in financial administration and accounts payable within complex and diverse organisations5 years' experience in a similar roleTertiary qualification in Business or Accounting (preferred)Strong bookkeeping skills, including payroll, accounts payable/receivable, and reconciliation with advanced MYOB experienceProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)Excellent communication skills for liaising with customers, suppliers, and team membersA team player who can work efficiently with excellent time management skills, self-motivated, and reliableWhat we offer: Fantastic workplace cultureExciting Employee Benefits platform offering exclusive discounts on retail and healthcare as well as discounted gym memberships and novated leasing options.Access to Commonwealth Bank Workplace banking benefits.Engagement and rewards for employees with a monthly value's awards program and recognition in our newsletter.If you are a motivated and detail-oriented individual looking to contribute to the success of a growing company, we invite you to apply.
