Prepare Prevent & Protect Group; Security & Counter-Terrorism Command; Specialist Operations; Brisbane City
You will be a part of the Security & Counter-Terrorism Command (SCTC) where you will work with the Prevent, Prepare, Protect Group (PPPG). This group is made up ofseveral units where you will be working in the Engagement & Diversion unit. In your role you will assist in making Queensland communities safe from violent extremism by providing high quality business support services to the Engagement and Diversion program in areas including administrative, financial, human resource and event management.


The core capability requirements for this role are: • Provide high level administrative support to the EDP, including management of meetings, conferences and other executive events, management of diaries/calendars, preparation and processing of travel/accommodation bookings and purchasing of office and operational consumables.
• Provide financial support to the EDP, including preparation and processing of payments, accounts receivable invoices, corporate credit card payments and reconciliations, processing and resolution of issues relating to accounts payable and receivable invoices and other finance related activities.
• Provide support to the EDP with preparation of Expression of Interests (EOI), coordination of Higher Duties requirements, pay submissions, travel allowance queries and roster management.
• Monitor the EDP inbox and maintain data management, including tracking of correspondence, distribution of correspondence, tracking of expenditure, compilation of periodic reporting and support to the maintenance of Commonwealth and QPS data/finance reporting requirements.
• Liaise with a range of internal and external stakeholders on behalf of EDP including coordinating the procurement of services, equipment, and supplies.
• Work collaboratively with stakeholders in law enforcement, government, nongovernment, community, and corporate areas to provide assistance and support as required by the Engagement and Diversion Unit.
Role Requirements Mandatory
• Possession of a current C class driver's licence.
• Applicants must be able to obtain and maintain a national security clearance to the minimum level of Negative Vetting Level 1 (NVL1). Applicants must be aware that the application for a security clearance process can at times be invasive. Security vetting is undertaken by the Qld NSAC Unit within the Security and Counter-Terrorism Command, Queensland Police Service.
• Applicants are advised that they will be required to undertake a psychological assessment to determine their suitability to perform these duties. If successful, applicants may also be required to undertake regular psychological assessments.
Other
• This position involves driving of police vehicles.
• Occasional inter and intra state travel is a requirement of this position.
• Ability to build rapport/communicate effectively with vulnerable individuals, diverse communities & key government and non-government stakeholders is essential.
