Primary Objective: Provide sound financial and operational support to the Northern Territory Police, Fire and Emergency Services (NTPFES) Southern Region members in accordance with the NTPS General Enterprise Agreement and the NT Police Force Consent Agreement to enhance delivery of business services.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:Prepare and process payment of invoices and reconciliation of departmental accounts, ledger transfer requests, and journals to maintain data integrity.Utilise internal electronic systems including Electronic Invoice Management Systems (EIMS/NTGPay) and Expense8, to verify and code invoices and corporate credit card transactions.Assess and ensure the correct Tax codes are applied to invoices and credit card payments to ensure the agency complies with Australian Tax Office requirements.Provide training to NTPFES employees relating to NTGPay and Expense8 as required.Under the direction of the Office Coordinator, provide assistance and other administrative support duties throughout Southern Command as required, including support to the Housing and Relocations Officer.Selection Criteria:Essential: Demonstrated experience in financial procedures and a financial administration environment delivering a customer focused service.Strong organisational skills and ability to work under pressure with conflicting priorities, while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.Ability to work within a team environment and with limited supervision and ability to manage own workload, use initiative to set priorities and demonstrate problem solving whilst exercising discretion, attention to detail and confidentiality.Strong interpersonal skills and written and oral communication skills with the ability to communicate professionally and effectively at all levels, including senior executives, external clients and people from different cultures.Experience in office procedures, and sound computer skills with experience in a range of computer software including Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel.Desirable: Sound knowledge of NTG electronic systems such as HPE Content Manager, NTGPay, and Expense8 applications or similar.Knowledge and understanding of Northern Territory Legislation such as Finance Management Act and Regulations, Procurement Act and Regulations and Treasurers Directions.Demonstrated experience working in property and tenancy management.Further Information: The successful applicant must consent to a Northern Territory Police Check of criminal records and intelligence data to confirm they have no significant criminal history record.The successful applicant may be required to provide administrative support outside of normal working hours. #J-18808-Ljbffr
