You can't have one without the other.Our Vision:Through connection to Country, Aboriginal people pursue and achieve economic, social, and cultural goals and aspirations with strength and confidence.Our Mission:For current and future generations, we work with and for Australian Aboriginal people to protect rights and manage Country and opportunities.About the Role:YMAC is currently seeking a full time (75 hours per fortnight) Business Support Officer to join the team in our South Hedland office on a permanent contract. The primary aim of this role is to support the Regional Office, working collaboratively with the team members of this office, whilst also providing support to the key organisational initiatives.About You:You will have the ability to provide effective administrative support for the Regional Office, which can include support such as: producing written documents, filing, preparation of briefs, providing back up reception duties when required and general administrative support. Organising and coordinating meetings will be a strong suit of yours, from planning stages through to implementation. You will also be able to communicate confidently and empathetically with all levels of staff and external agencies, verbally and in writing.Selection CriteriaQualifications & Experience:Minimum two years experience in a similar administrative roleSkills:High level interpersonal and verbal/written communication skills.Advanced skills in Microsoft Office suite and minimum typing speed of 60 wpm.Strong organisational and time management skills, prioritising own work to agreed deadlines with the ability to work under pressure in a busy working environment.Excellent attention to detail.Attributes & Desired Knowledge:A strong connection to, or interest in, Aboriginal culture.Team player, willing to work collaboratively within and across teams.Ability to work independently whilst also able to work effectively in a team.Proactive and flexible attitude.What YMAC Offers:YMAC believes in providing a safe and supportive working environment, and the best way to do that is to ensure our employees are well looked after.
