About the role: Eastern Region Business Services Division provide a broad range of Strategic Business, Finance, Technology, and Human Resource support across the Region. This Division includes two key offices, Strategic Business and Technology, and Business Support. Reporting to the Regional Business Manager, this leadership position is responsible for the management and delivery of the Business Support Office, comprising of the below key functions: - Finance (Procure to Payment) - Human Resource; and - Ancillary support to all sworn and VPS members of Eastern Region. This leadership position is responsible for leading a team of 8 employees, predominantly located at Knox, however a small team is also located at Morwell which will require some travel to maintain active leadership. This position has three direct reports, responsible for supervising the day-to-day operations of the office. Victoria Police is a contemporary and agile workplace and supports flexible working arrangements. Your duties will include: The day-to-day operations of the Regional Business Support office, includes but not limited to: Managing a team of eight staff Invoice processing Ancillary Services support to clients Advice and adherence with relevant policy and legislation Human resource management Contract management Preparation of reports that analyse and assess issues and provide recommendations that improve the business, policies and procedures As the successful applicant, you will have: Proven ability to lead, train, motivate administration staff and work successfully within a team environment Experience with financial management policy and legislation Highly developed analytical and conceptual skills Well-developed oral and written communication skills Proven ability to monitor client and stakeholder satisfaction, and constructively manage stakeholder issues to ensure positive outcomes Requirements and relevant information: One (1) x full-time, ongoing position available: 20010213 Your usual place of work will be Knox Police Complex, 420 Burwood Highway, Wantirna South, however you may be required to work at any other location within Eastern Region as required Applicants must be an Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident or hold a valid work permit or visa.
