As we continue to expand our operations, we are seeking a skilled and dedicated Business Services Manager to join our team. Yallambee Traralgon Village for the Aged Inc. is a community based Not-For-Profit service comprising of Margery Cole, residential aged care facility, and Independent Living Village. Yallambee is operated under the guidance of a voluntary Board of Directors and the Yallambee Board is committed to the provision of quality care, a home-like environment, the protection and promotion of residents' rights and to continuous improvement.

As the Business Services Manager, you will play a pivotal role in the efficient and effective operation of our aged care facility. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in business management, preferably within the healthcare or aged care sector, and possess excellent leadership and organizational skills. Traralgon is a large regional city located just under two hours outside of Melbourne. It is the largest and fastest growing city in the greater Latrobe Valley area, which in total has a population of approximately 125,000. The town itself has a thriving central business district full of a range of shops, cafes and restaurants as well as plenty of public facilities including parks, gardens, the newly constructed state of the art Gippsland Performing Arts Centre and Gippsland Regional Aquatic Centre. For the family, the town offers a variety of top-quality schools and employment opportunities within an area with a significantly lower cost of living than metropolitan Melbourne. 
Latrobe Valley is just one part of the greater Gippsland region which offers everything from country to coast. Within a few hours either side you have access to beaches, forests, hills, hinterland, wineries and the Gippsland Lakes region. The area is nationally and internationally renowned not only for its diverse and beautiful landscapes and outdoor activities but also for its quality of life, first-rate food, fresh produce, growing arts scene and local wineries and breweries. 
Term of Appointment: Full-time position (76 hours per fortnight). There will be a performance review after the first six month period. 
Reporting Relationship: The Business Services Manager (BSM) position reports directly to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO).
Essential Qualifications: Tertiary Qualification in Business Management or Finance related field CPA / ICAANZ / IPA Membership (excluding Associate/student Members) Desirable Qualifications: Masters of Business Administration or related field Qualifications in Human Resource Management Experience: Significant experience (7 years or more) in business and/or finance at a senior level.  Demonstrated experience in developing effective business, financial and operational systems and processes Proven skills in financial accounting, forecasting, budgeting, analysis, and reporting ensuring legislative compliance Strategically and operationally manage physical and human resources Demonstrated leadership skills and experience in building strong teams Contract management, compliance and effective negotiations Significant hands-on experience in health or business at a senior level Possess the ability to support strategic thinking, communicate with influence and advise the Chief Executive Officer Capacity to assist in the development of an operational budget - within agreed parameters.  Sound understanding of quality systems and continuous improvement models  Demonstrated capacity to recruit, manage and motivate staff and to develop innovative staff models within an agreed establishment Well-developed understanding of the rights and needs of residents and their families and a demonstrated capacity to communicate effectively with all key stakeholders Evidence of a capacity for innovation and development of new and flexible business models and service delivery Policy and procedure development experience Experience with Industrial Relations and Human Resource Management at an operational management level Knowledge of and user familiarity with relevant IT systems, for example, Microsoft and specific aged care applications. Commitment to ensuring sound and innovative Occupational Health and Safety policies and practices Ability to foster and maintain effective, cohesive relationships with other leaders within the organisation and the wider community.
