The Business Services Lead provides expert business advice and support to the leadership team within the Office of the Commissioner of Environmental Sustainability. The Business Services Lead is responsible for leading business activities including public administration, finance, procurement, strategic governance and innovation.
The role requires a systems thinker with strong technical, analytical skills, an aptitude for project management and a candidate who enjoys working as a part of a small team. The role will often require direct engagement with stakeholders, so an excellent communicator and collaborator is preferred, with strong stakeholder management skills.
Minimum Requirements: A relevant tertiary degree/qualification/professional membership in a relevant field is highly desirable.Demonstrated experience in finance, business management, procurement, risk and human resource management is required.Problem-solving experience and well-developed organisational and stakeholder relationship skills.Experience in planning and managing complex workflow and processes.Good interpersonal skills, sound judgement and discretion in dealing with sensitive matters.In-depth understanding of and demonstrated commitment to integrity, probity and ethical conduct.This is a fixed term position available for a period of 24 months. The work location for this position is 2 Lonsdale Street, East Melbourne with hybrid work arrangements available.
