Business Services Intermediate Accountant19th August, 2024Business Services Intermediate Accountant - Brisbane OfficeForvis Mazars' Business Services team has an opportunity for an Intermediate Accountant like you.We're a globally integrated audit, tax and advisory firm with offices in over 100 countries and territories - and we're always ready to recruit an experienced and motivated new Accountant like you to join our Australian team.This could be just the right opportunity for you if you:Want the opportunity to provide real advice to real clients and be recognised and rewarded for what you can do.Are keen to progress to increasing levels of seniority and receive the training and promotions you deserve.Enjoy variety and the idea of exploring opportunities across different sectors and global markets.Believe that a great culture is built on the celebration of collective success.About the job:As an experienced member of our Business Services team, your job will involve:Preparation of financial statements, income tax returns, group tax summary and loan summary for corporate and family groups including Trusts, Companies, Partnerships and Individuals.Preparation of payroll tax returns, FBT returns and activity statements.Communication with the ATO in relation to various client matters, e.g. payment arrangements, remissions, extensions etc.Working as part of a team where you will work closely with other intermediate and senior business services accountants.Use of Xero, XPM and FYI docs.Liaising with clients and other external service providers.About you:The qualities and qualifications we're looking for include:Relevant tertiary qualification.Intention to complete CA/CPA qualification.At least 1-2 years of experience in public practice accounting.Demonstrated knowledge of basic tax compliance, e.g. returns and statements.Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to assess the risks for clients before decision making.Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to consult with peers.Why join us?For those who appreciate culture as much as commercial success, Forvis Mazars is the smart choice.
