Guided by the recommendations of the Royal Commission into Early Childhood Education and Care, the Office for Early Childhood Development is the steward of the early childhood development system in South Australia.
The Office is tasked with a significant responsibility: bringing together a holistic, connected system for early childhood development across South Australia, with the goal of reducing the rate of children entering school developmentally vulnerable. Critical to this is the roll-out of universal 3-year-old preschool from 2026, giving every child access to 2 years of teacher-led, play-based early learning before school.
About the role: The Business Services Coordinator is a critical position within the Office for Early Childhood Development, responsible for administering, coordinating, and enhancing various business services. This includes facilities management, business planning, risk management, corporate governance, procurement, and more. You will be integral in ensuring smooth operations and compliance across the organisation, working closely with both internal and external stakeholders to deliver outcomes that align with corporate objectives and best practices. The role will also manage high-level business support services across the organisation, contributing to a safe and productive work environment.
In this role, you will be responsible for the following:
Supporting the development and implementation of business service processes, policies, and practices aligned with corporate goals, government regulations, and best practices.Ensuring smooth delivery of corporate services that meet executive expectations, enhance decision-making, and protect the organisation from risk.Providing key insights for corporate accommodation planning and facilities management, while resolving issues in collaboration with stakeholders.Contributing to business plan development, strategy reporting, and the evaluation of service agreements that support our corporate objectives and state priorities.Collaborating on the development and delivery of risk management programs, identifying and mitigating corporate risks, and offering strategic risk insights.Coordinating induction, onboarding, and ongoing business support, ensuring staff have what they need to succeed.Proactively contributing to a safe and healthy work environment by reporting hazards, incidents, and injuries.About you: If you have a passion for driving organizational excellence and a commitment to delivering high-quality services across a range of corporate functions, this role is for you. Additional Note: This is a full-time 2-year long term contract role (1.0 FTE).
Remuneration: ASO6 $98,478 - $104,165 (1.0 FTE) per annum, plus superannuation.

Special Conditions: The successful applicant is required to gain a Department for Human Services (DHS) working with children check (WWCC) prior to being employed which is required to be renewed every 5 years before expiry. The incumbent will be required to undertake RRHAN –EC (Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect - Education Care) Facilitator Lead (Masterclass) extended course or the online (Fundamentals) course which will be required to be updated every three years.
