About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Business Process Modeller to work closely with business subject matter experts to document, analyse, and improve business processes at Sydney Water. In this role, you will apply architecture-led change and continuous improvement methodologies to design and optimise processes, using industry-standard BPMN v2.0 notation and the Sydney Water process standards. The Business Process Modeller will capture both baseline and future state processes, ensure alignment with performance metrics, and support process governance and ownership.
Key Responsibilities
Provide continuous improvement recommendations and guidance based on Architecture Led Change and Continuous Improvement (ALCCI) frameworks.
Create process documentation and develop knowledge articles to ensure best practices and process improvements are effectively communicated and stored.
Work with stakeholders to validate and optimise processes, ensuring proper governance and alignment with performance metrics.
Support the development of process specifications, facilitate user acceptance testing, and oversee process rollouts.
Identify, validate, and capture key process performance indicators and metrics, ensuring suitable measurement systems.
Assist in the development and maintenance of process-related databases and content.
Experience and Skills
5+ years of experience in business process modelling and improvement.
Proficiency in BPMN v2.0 and experience with process design and modelling tools.
Strong understanding of process levelling, architecture, and governance.
Experience in business metric identification, validation, and reporting.
Familiarity with Lean Six Sigma methodologies and asset service management practices.
Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and collaboration skills.
Ability to translate data insights into actionable process improvements and measurable benefits.
A creative, solution-focused mindset with a continuous improvement and learning orientation.
