Business Process Analyst

NSW Government Department – negotiable location + WFH $90 per hour + super (35 hour weeks) ASAP start – initial contract to 30/06/2024 + possible extension Key accountabilities Responsible for conducting analysis of systems and manual processes, as well as designing and modeling processes to support the continuous advancement of the overall business architecture. Evaluate and examine business processes, procedures, and work instructions, including systems and applications, to identify areas for improvement and facilitate the development of enhancement strategies and projects, such as creating new business models, refining existing processes, and assisting with change management. Conduct both qualitative and quantitative research to identify trends and best practices, guiding the prioritisation of business process improvements. Assist stakeholders and process owners in aligning organisational and business unit strategies, policies, processes, and procedures, by simplifying and clarifying information/documentation to support decision-making regarding systems and technology solutions. Create educational materials and contribute to training for operational processes. Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders and subject matter experts to gain a comprehensive understanding of end-to-end processes for effective problem-solving and issue resolution. Support end-to-end operational practices as needed for business needs, including (but not limited to) RACI models, process maps, written guidelines, and implementation plans. Provide precise technical advice and solutions to assist in defining business requirements for new or existing solutions. Key requirements Demonstrated capability to map process models and knowledge of process modelling notation standards with a demonstrated understanding of the relationship between strategy and operational process enablement.
