The Townsville Hospital and Health Service is seeking a Business Practice Support Officer (Outpatients) for a temporary full-time role from 02.12.2024 up to 30.11.2025.
The purpose of the Business Practice Support Officer (Outpatients) is to support the Business Practice Improvement Officer (Outpatients) in implementing the standardisation of best practice workflows, data quality, and reporting functions in outpatient services across the Townsville Hospital and Health Service.

The opportunity:
The Business Practice Support Officer (Outpatients) will proactively engage with stakeholders, provide advice, and implement solutions to continuously improve and develop consistent outpatient practices across service groups.
Employment Term:
Fixed Term Temporary full-time, from 02.12.2024 up to 30.11.2025.
Role requirements:
There are no mandatory qualifications or requirements for this position. However, an education or training qualification would be highly desirable.
The ideal applicant will be someone who has proven ability and can demonstrate the following:
Comprehensive knowledge of the principles of outpatient systems and how they relate to patient care, health service key performance indicators, and compliance with business rules, standards, and guidelines.
Demonstrated ability to review, analyse, and trend information to report on key areas of concern and take action to improve consistency within outpatient services.
Demonstrated high level experience in the use of technology to facilitate monitoring, reporting, analysis, and improvement of outpatient services.
Demonstrated high level verbal and written communication skills, interpersonal and negotiation skills to build and maintain successful relationships with team members and other stakeholders.
Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and as part of a successful team to meet deadlines and provide an efficient and effective customer-focused service.
Benefits:
Salary rates between $3481.60 - $3835.70 p.f (AO4)
17.5% annual leave loading + leave
