About the role
The Student Success and Wellbeing team at TAFE SA is seeking suitable candidates for an exciting new role which will help our team deliver a comprehensive suite of student support services efficiently and effectively across South Australia.
As the Business Operations Officer, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth coordination and delivery of operational practices, while providing high-quality, client-focused outcomes.
Key Responsibilities Coordinate and implement business process improvements and work instructions for efficiency and consistency.Support the review and implementation of TAFE SA policies and procedures.Supervise and guide a team of coordinators, officers, and casual staff.Plan, coordinate, and monitor specialist projects and events, including delivering quality reports and analysis.Perform financial and purchasing functions, including budget monitoring and contract coordination.Manage team priorities, schedules, and deliverables to meet performance indicators.Ensure compliance with legislation, policies, and work practices, with a focus on continuous improvement.The Successful Candidate will have: Proven experience using technology to innovate and coordinate business operations, including reporting and resource allocation.Exceptional interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse cohorts.Demonstrated ability to develop and coordinate student/customer-centric services while leading and training teams.Capacity to work independently and collaboratively, exercising initiative and problem-solving in a dynamic environment.Experience in developing and implementing continuous process improvements and change management.Strong knowledge of administration, records management, and reporting practices in a government setting.A thorough understanding of compliance with legislation and policies.Special Conditions
The successful applicant is required to demonstrate having a valid Working With Children Check (WWCC) prior to being employed.
Applicants who do not hold a WWCC will need to apply at Department of Human Services (DHS).
