The Business Manager is a dedicated specialist providing support and advice to the Director, Defence Mobility and the wider directorate with regards to its day-to-day financial, contract, and business activities. The Business Manager will be responsible for ensuring the directorate meets their financial responsibilities in line with relevant authorities and budget commitments.

Some of the key responsibilities include:
Managing the Directorate's budget, ensuring efficient allocation and utilisation of Commonwealth funds.Coordinating financial submissions to Service Management Branch – Business Management Office, including the creation of financial submission forms, and archiving of financial submissions and related documents to support submission. The Defence Mobility Team is responsible for providing Mobility capability to Defence. This includes mobile phones, tablets, laptops, mobile applications, remote access solutions, and mobile communication services across various security classifications, whether standalone or network connected. It is our mission to deliver leading-edge sovereign capability to support Defence's mission.

Experience and understanding of the financial responsibilities within the Federal Government.Experience with Defence financial tools to manage directorate budget and process invoices, and understanding of contract/procurement management.A willingness to work independently and collaboratively as part of a high-performing team to harness information to support strategic direction.Able to influence positive outcomes in a fast-paced environment.Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate clearly. #J-18808-Ljbffr
