We have a (12-Month Contract) Business Operations and Risk Partner role available.
Responsibilities: You will be responsible for Operational Risk & Compliance, ensuring the right Risk Management & Controls are in place. 50% of this role will focus on Risk & Compliance, and the other 50% will see you engaging with Business Operations & Governance Teams. You will be involved in quarterly business performance and planning cycles, which includes assessing resource requirements for initiatives and projects - so any project management or project-coordination skills will be handy. You will work with executive teams, preparing a unified narrative for operations teams, including executive governance, operational profile and compliance. This is a Line 1 Risk role which looks at operational level risk and ensures controls are in place and managing any related issues. In this role, you will implement, maintain, and mature the risk and resilience framework in alignment with policies and procedures. You will facilitate regular risk assessments and reporting, ensuring timely identification, mitigation, and escalation of risks. Coordinate the development and testing of resilience plans and activities, such as business continuity, disaster recovery and crisis management. You will assist with the preparation and execution of governance forums, reports, and presentations. Manage the administration and documentation of the business unit processes and systems. You will liaise with stakeholders on risk and resilience matters. Communicate and educate the business unit staff on risk and resilience best practices and expectations. Skills & Experience Required: Operational Risk & Compliance Experience (Essential) Demonstrated experience implementing and maintaining the risk and resilience framework for large scale organizations (Essential) Proven experience in business operations and risk management, preferably in a financial services or other highly regulated industry. Familiarity with risk frameworks, methodologies, tools, and best practices. Experience in Business Continuity, Disaster Recovery, and Crisis Management (ideal). Effective Communication skills - both written & verbal (Essential). Effective Stakeholder Engagement skills & ability to build relationships (Essential). Knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, standards, and policies affecting the business. Experience in engaging and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders on risk and resilience matters. Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience in business operations and risk management. Analytical and problem-solving skills to identify, assess, monitor, and report on risks and issues. Professional certification in risk management, internal audit, compliance, or related field (CRMA, CISA, CIA, etc.). Bachelor's degree in business, finance, accounting, or related field.
