Business Manager - Manufacturing - Metal / Steel Industry The Company: We are one of Australia's fastest growing manufacturers within the metal industry. We proudly employ over 650 employees and have been operating for over 20 years.
Due to company expansion, we now seek to employ an experienced business manager to head up one of our steel manufacturing facilities in Melbourne.

This is an exciting and pivotal senior position that will challenge and reward you equally. No day will be the same; within our challenging business, you will lead our steel manufacturing to success.
Reporting directly to our Director of Manufacturing, you will:
Lead, motivate, and support our team within a time-sensitive and demanding steel manufacturing environment Take full ownership of the commercial business growth & outcomes Lead our operations, productions, sales, and other managers alike to ensure successful achievement of all business outcomes Provide operational, functional, as well as strategic leadership support to all state members Design, plan, and execute sales, people, and operational business strategies to achieve high-performance outcomes Manage the collection of data and reporting to ensure targets are met, production efficiencies, reduction in waste, etc. Track the state's operational, production, and cost adjustments Monitor and develop people and business performance Lead senior direct management reports to ensure targets are met across all areas Support teams in new business and customer retention strategies Identify and implement business improvements in process, systems, etc. Ensure the state's business OHS protocols are adhered to and recommend opportunities for development Review suppliers including negotiating pricing and purchasing terms Ensure high-quality business operating standards are maintained Build a health and safety culture Prepare weekly/monthly/quarterly reports as required Drive policies and procedures Ensure compliance with standards and regulations About you:
10 years' plus experience within a comparable role within metal steel manufacturing, people management, and leadership Strong financial and commercial acumen Outstanding presentation and communication skills Achieve outstanding outcomes while under pressure Strong understanding of the manufacturing metal industry #J-18808-Ljbffr
