No day will be the same; within our challenging business, you will lead our steel manufacturing to success.Reporting directly to our Director of Manufacturing, you will:Lead, motivate, and support our team within a time-sensitive and demanding steel manufacturing environmentTake full ownership of the commercial business growth & outcomesLead our operations, productions, sales, and other managers alike to ensure successful achievement of all business outcomesProvide operational, functional, as well as strategic leadership support to all state membersDesign, plan, and execute sales, people, and operational business strategies to achieve high-performance outcomesManage the collection of data and reporting to ensure targets are met, production efficiencies, reduction in waste, etc.Track the state's operational, production, and cost adjustmentsMonitor and develop people and business performanceLead senior direct management reports to ensure targets are met across all areasSupport teams in new business and customer retention strategiesIdentify and implement business improvements in process, systems, etc.Ensure the state's business OHS protocols are adhered to and recommend opportunities for developmentReview suppliers including negotiating pricing and purchasing termsEnsure high-quality business operating standards are maintainedBuild a health and safety culturePrepare weekly/monthly/quarterly reports as requiredDrive policies and proceduresEnsure compliance with standards and regulationsAbout you:10 years' plus experience within a comparable role within metal steel manufacturing, people management, and leadershipStrong financial and commercial acumenOutstanding presentation and communication skillsAchieve outstanding outcomes while under pressureStrong understanding of the manufacturing metal industry
