About the role
We're all about helping our members make the most of their money. And while they go after their goals, you can too. As a Business Manager - Investment Office, you'll provide trusted advice and support to the Investment team with respect to key operational, project and strategic matters, and acts as a strategic partner, connector and conduit between employees, senior leaders, executives, and key stakeholders.
The role is pivotal to the daily operations and function of the Investments division through the support it provides on business operations, project management and financial operations.
Day to day, you'll:

Coordinate and undertake a range of often complex, technical and/or highly sensitive activities in collaboration with the Chief Investment Officer (CIO).
Partner with the Investments leadership team and key stakeholders across ART to develop and implement key operational initiatives across the division.
Lead improvements and/or remediation activities for the division.
Manage the administration and divisional risk teams to ensure smooth and consistent administration, risk management and operations of the Investments business area.
Prepare, manage and disseminate relevant investment communications internally.
Manage engagement with key stakeholders eg the Board and Investment Committee etc, to achieve effective development of strategy and supporting arrangements and the necessary monitoring, oversight and review through targeted agendas, and preparation and presentation of necessary materials.
Provide guidance on secretariat support to the Management Investment Committee and Portfolio Resilience Forum.
Lead, manage, mentor and develop a team cognisant of individual role, divisional needs, and corporate direction, as required.

About you
It goes without saying you'll be a great communicator with top notch interpersonal skills. We'll also expect you to pick up problems and come up with quick, creative ways to solve them. It's quite likely you tick some of the following boxes too:

Tertiary qualification, preferably in business, finance, economics, commerce, law, mathematics or a related discipline.
Demonstrated solid skills in external stakeholder management and developing trusted and enduring relationships with business clients.
Accounting knowledge including preparation of business plans and budgets.
Demonstrable experience in managing and leading teams and developing individuals, in a large, complex organisational setting.
Ability to identify, understand and respond to emerging issues and develop appropriate strategies and plans.
A strong ability to engage, manage and influence change and solve complex problems.
Ability to apply sound governance principles in a practical manner.
