Nambour Special School is seeking a qualified and dedicated individual to fill an AO4 Business Manager role, on a temporary basis commencing 26 February 2025.
This role offers the opportunity to lead and manage essential corporate services within a school environment, supporting the principal and school community to ensure financial, administrative, and operational excellence.
This position is integral to delivering the Department of Education's vision of equity and excellence, fostering a strong, inclusive, and innovative educational culture.
This position is offered on a temporary full-time basis until 27 June 2025, unless otherwise determined.

About The School Situated in the Sunshine Coast Hinterland, Nambour Special School delivers high quality education for 150 students with Intellectual Disability, with access to the Australian Curriculum, in a safe and supportive environment.
Our vision is 'Engaged Learners, Individualised Pathways, Community Partnerships' and our purpose is 'to provide high quality learning which engages all students through personalised planning and focuses on preparing students with the knowledge, skills and confidence to participate effectively in their community'.

About The Role As the Business Manager, you will interpret and analyse business plans and work alongside the Principal to deliver a range of corporate services.
You will manage the timely delivery of organisational executive and administrative support; frequently identify opportunities to adapt processes; supervise the support staff workforce; and encourage an environment in which quality services are delivered by demonstrating best practice, inspiring change, and influencing key stakeholders.
The Business Manager reports to the Principal and liaises with Deputy Principals, Heads of Department: Curriculum, and Middle Leaders.

The Key Responsibilities Of The Role Include Overseeing the management of a large and diverse team of non-teaching staff.Responsibility for ensuring the effective operations of the Financial, Human Resources, and Facilities sections of the school in collaboration with the Principal. The Successful Candidate Will Have excellent inter-personal skills.Have experience of working within a complex and dynamic environment.Be able to prioritise effectively and work autonomously to deliver results within strict deadlines.Experience of, and commitment to, the values and visions of Special Education will be highly regarded.
