The Defence Industry in Australia is undergoing significant growth and expansion, with ongoing needs to support the bases and related supply chains with outstanding service and support.
As a leading National Services group, our client has a highly established reputation for delivering services across Defence, Government, and related heavy asset customer markets.
They have long term business contracts to provide a range of services from Asset Management, Hospitality & Catering, Accommodation & Cleaning, Land and Estate Upkeep.
In this position, you will be leading the management of a large commercial Defence Estate contract, staffing and related support services.
The full P&L role, and leadership of large workforce, circa 75 FTE, requires an engaging hands-on leader to continue to develop outstanding relationships with defence and civilian staff who are overseeing critical roles within the physical Defence Bases you will manage.
You are passionate about customer engagement, innovation and solutions, and meeting these via a positive and engaged workforce that you lead.
Strong communication depth, strategy and operational management is balanced by sound financial and commercial experience both at a contract level and enterprise level.
It is critical you have a can-do approach, with a positive and strong leadership of blue and white-collar services staff as well as trades and related asset professionals.
You will be provided the support as well as autonomy, to drive performance across the contracts, ensuring you maximise the across key deliverables at both a tactical level as well as a strategic relationship level.
Experience in Defence Estates is preferred but not critical, potentially you may well come from a similar role but within complex and larger FM assets such as Health, Education, Justice/Prisons etc.
The salary package is mid management level, with excellent career prospects within this large national ASX Listed group.
This role reports into the Regional Manager, and excellent training, support and collaboration is in place to help make you successful.
