About the Crescent Lagoon State School
Crescent Lagoon State School is a Band 8 school, catering for approximately 440 students from Preparatory to Year 6. The school is set on approximately one hectare, bounded by Eton street, North Street Extended and Willis Streets and services the western suburbs of Rockhampton and nearby outer areas. There is a range of cultural, racial, social and economic backgrounds in the Crescent Lagoon State School population.
About the Role
Permanent Part-time (0.2FTE) Business Manager position, job sharing with substantive 0.8 Business Manager. Also includes temporary 0.8 A04 position for 12 months, unless otherwise determined.
As Business Manager, the successful candidate will oversee financial management alongside a range of responsibilities, including Workplace Health and Safety (WH&S) and the efficient management of front office operations. Operating within a primary school setting, this role requires adaptability, strong communication skills, and the ability to work with a high degree of autonomy. Reporting directly to the Principal, the successful candidate will play a pivotal role in supporting the school's strategic objectives.
The ideal candidate will have: Demonstrated experience in financial management and budgeting, ideally within an educational or similar setting.Knowledge of WH&S regulations, or the ability to quickly acquire this knowledge, with demonstrated capacity to manage responsibilities effectively.Strong leadership skills with the ability to supervise and support staff.Proficiency in using OneSchool or similar systems for financial reporting and school administration.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.High attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to work autonomously.Our ideal candidate would possess the following attributes: Be a strong communicator;Have superior time management skills;Have previous experience relevant to the role.It would be advantageous if the candidate had: Previous experience in a Queensland school setting.Knowledge of Queensland Department of Education policies and procedures.Knowledge and skills with maintenance of schools' website and social media, or the ability to quickly acquire this skill.Interested?
