About the RoleClosing Date: 23/06/2024 
The primary objective of the Senior Business Intelligence Engineer role is to provide research, data sourcing, analysis and report compilation support to AWH management and stakeholder groups in the development and monitoring of organisational performance indicators. As a senior team member, the role will also require mentoring of other Business Intelligence Engineers within AWH, to build a framework of knowledge sharing and delivery across the domain.
Key Responsibilities: Leverage technology to create meaningful, real time information for departments allowing for improvements to patient centric care, enhanced transparency and actions against outliers.Analyse and define the mapping of various "actors" and their journey throughout the organisation. E.g. Patients, Doctors, Wards etc. Understanding and documenting the data touch points each step of the way, then leading the development of a slow moving data model for the AWH Enterprise Data Warehouse.Leverage this process map to create an enterprise wide, AWH specific schema, to capture all data elements required from various senior stakeholders.Leading the design of this model in a way that can adapt to change, both known and unknown, in the future to meet the strategic vision outlined by the AWH Board and Executives.Design and create a suite of "core" Business Intelligence dashboards for the various departments to consume "out of the box". Replacing current, static reporting mechanisms of stale data.Engaging stakeholders to define and develop bespoke dashboards required to serve specific, ad-hoc requests for information to drive informed decisions.Continue to research and provide varying ways data can be consumed and stored within the AWH Enterprise Data Warehouse, based on ever changing applications in use within AWH.Working closely with the ICT team, to constantly be aware of changing application landscapes and evolving data models, to assist in the consumption of real time information through service oriented architectures or open APIs.Monitor data integrity, taking action or making recommendations to address the source issue, and report to responsible governing committee and/or managersReview and update the AWH data models and reporting systems configuration as application, process, or organisational changes are planned and implemented. Communicate new factors influencing the interpretation of performance data to the respective stakeholders. Conduct regular audits of the performance reporting configuration and system capability to ensure consistency with organisational structure and information requirements, and with external agency guidelines and / or benchmarks.Maintain alignment of report production, data extract, distribution, and definition with regulatory guidelines.Actively abide by AWH system access, Health Information, and privacy policies, and related security strategies and controls.Incorporate data governance, document retention, and related information security policies into the ongoing report production, information exchange, and distributionSelection Criteria:  Experience in research or data analysis projects, preferably in the Public Health sector.Current Victorian Driver's license or equivalent.Excellent analytical skills with an ability to research business requirements.An ability to present data in formats to convey key insights, and in a format suited to the audience.AWH serves as the largest regional healthcare provider between Sydney and Melbourne, situated in the twin cities of Albury and Wodonga.
