Business Intelligence Engineer

Our client is a public sector organisation located in Perth. They are seeking a Business Intelligence Engineer to join their team on a 6-month contract basis.


Your new role


As a Business Intelligence Engineer, you will be responsible for gathering requirements, defining and documenting the solution design, and updating the technical implementation requirements in AWS and Power BI. You will also be responsible for implementing reports and dashboards in Power BI, as well as conducting UAT, system integration, and data quality testing.


What you'll need to succeed Requirements management with special focus on data management and visualisation. Data discovery in source systems and AWS Data Lake using SQL. Solution design and documentation Data modelling (e.g. ERD's, Star and Snowflake dimensional modelling) and specification of transformation and data quality rules would be advantageous. Advanced SQL skills are essential. Customer domain BI and analytics experience would be advantageous. Advanced Power BI development skills would be advantageous. Test planning, execution and reporting with a strong focus on data integration, data quality and visualisation UX. Experience with ITIL processes. What you'll get in return


You will receive an hourly rate of $100/hour + Super.
