About the Role: The overall purpose of the Business Intelligence Data Engineer is to support VU's ongoing transformation into a strategy-led, data-driven organisation.
The role will be responsible for data warehousing, data engineering, data extraction, data processing and automation, data security and access.
Reporting to the Lead Business Intelligence Data Engineer, some of the role's responsibilities are: Support the Lead Business Intelligence Data Engineer with transforming complex data into information, facilitating VU's success in a competitive environment.In collaboration with other team members, ensure that VU's analytics environments, data subject areas and dashboard reports in VU's Oracle Analytics and Big Data Hub platforms are secure, accessible, factual and accurate.Manage and build strong and collaborative relationships with staff across VU, vendors and contractors to collectively improve VU's data assets, analytics capabilities, data visualisation and reporting.Maintain Business Intelligence Solutions' on-premises or Cloud-based hardware, software, platforms and information updated and secure.This is a 14-months part-time, fixed term position (36.75 hours per week) at the classification of HEP Level 8 with the salary range being $106,346 – $119,960 (pro-rata) per annum plus 17% superannuation.
