As a large open cut mining operation in the NSW Hunter Valley, HVO is a workplace where you can unearth opportunities.The opportunity to make a difference in a fast paced and exciting environment.To be empowered, have your opinions valued and your efforts rewarded.The opportunity to take charge of your career, starting with this role.HVO is laying the foundation for the future by investing in equipment, technology and our people so we consistently achieve our goals and contribute positively to the environment and the community.So, we are seeking a confident and enthusiastic person who share our values – Think Sharp, Dig In and Care - to join our high performing team.Job Description Reporting to the General Manager, the Business Improvement Superintendent will work with site personnel to identify, prioritise, justify and lead improvement initiatives from conception to execution.About the Role: Your key responsibilities will include but are not limited to: Embed business improvement principles to ensure appropriate business process, workflow, and ways of working are mapped and benefits captured across all business improvement projects, Develop relationships and collaborate with site departments including Health Safety and Training, Environment and Community, Mining, CHPP, and Maintenance to gather information and insights on current business processes and procedures with the view of improving and streamlining them, Support department specific Business Improvement initiatives, including justification (underlying analysis), scoping, and tracking the delivery of improvement initiatives, project plans & schedules, and appropriate resourcing.Support the site leadership team in prioritisation and integration of site-wide Business Improvement initiatives.Develop the 5 year business improvement capital and operating expenditure budgets Stakeholder Engagement: Engage and influence stakeholders of site departments to ensure successful implementation of improvements.Follow the Management of Change process for Business Improvement projects Roster and Location Permanent, Full Time Monday - Friday Professional Roster Based on site at HVO (off Lemington Road) About You Previous Experience in a Business Improvement / Project Manager role Passionate about Business Improvement Ability to work as part of a team and autonomously A willingness to learn, organised and driven to achieve outcomes A high level of detail Excellent communication and engaging interpersonal skills including ability to connect and work with all levels of employees and management Formal training in Business Improvement methodologies (Six Sigma, Lean – desirable) Strong analytical skills, including ability to identify and manage data, build Excel models and draw correct business insights and conclusions, Existing and ongoing permanent working rights in Australia (mandatory).Benefits minimum five weeks annual leave market competitive salary a safe and enjoyable workplace where everyone is respected valued and empowered structured training and development to support you progress your career education assistance a generous incentive program retailer discounts health and wellness reimbursement program paid parental leave salary sacrificing options private health insurance subsidies Employee Assistance Program (EAP).Did we mention the Hunter Valley offers a great lifestyle close to city services?If you're looking to unearth opportunities, we want to hear from you!Applications close Monday 24th June 2024 Based on site at HVO Hunter Valley Operations Location Working for us isn't like working at any old mine.We offer you the opportunity to grow and develop, and to manage your work life balance.Providing you with healthy, safe, inclusive and equal opportunity work environment is our priority.
