The Role An opportunity exists at our operation for a Business Improvement Superintendent to join our team. The core purpose of this vital role is to undertake business analysis, to identify, encourage and drive the development of improvement opportunities within our operation using continuous improvement initiatives and methodologies.
Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will be primarily responsible for:
Identifying continuous improvement opportunities in the operation and evaluate, escalate, and execute strategies where appropriate; Coordinating and executing key projects across the business to achieve forecasted results and milestones; Effectively managing resources as well as monitoring and controlling costs within projects; Monitoring improvements throughout the project life and beyond so that benefits and improvements continue to flow. About you To be successful in this role, you will have:
Tertiary qualification in a technical field related to mining operations; Extensive knowledge of open cut mining operations; Superior computer skills- particularly MS Office suite, design and scheduling software experience; Excellent interpersonal, cooperative and facilitation skills as part of interfacing with various levels of management and external bodies and agencies. The ideal candidate will thrive on identifying continuous business opportunities and demonstrate a high concern for the health and safety of others, maintaining a safe workplace by actively following safety systems and ensuring adherence to all company HSEC policies and legislative requirements.
