Bowen Rail Company is growing, and we have an exciting new opportunity for a Business Improvement Specialist to join our team in Bowen. In this role, you will play a pivotal role in driving strategic business improvements and operational excellence initiatives within the company. This individual will be responsible for leading cross-functional teams, identifying areas for enhancement, and implementing solutions to streamline processes, increase productivity, and drive cost savings. The Business Improvement Specialist will leverage their expertise in process optimization, change management, and project leadership to drive sustainable improvements that align with organisational goals and objectives. Key Accountabilities:  Safety Leadership: Set the standard for safety at Bowen Rail Company. Demonstrate visible safety leadership in line with the values. Lead business improvement projects from inception to completion, including scoping, planning, execution, and post-implementation review. Collaborate with key stakeholders across departments to identify opportunities for process optimisation, cost reduction, and efficiency gains. Conduct thorough analyses of existing business processes, workflows, and systems to identify areas for improvement and develop actionable recommendations. Develop and implement innovative solutions, methodologies, and best practices to drive operational excellence and enhance business performance. Utilise data-driven insights and metrics to measure progress, track performance, and demonstrate the impact of improvement initiatives. Lead and facilitate cross-functional workshops, training sessions, and knowledge-sharing forums to foster a culture of continuous improvement and drive organizational change. Provide expert guidance, mentorship, and support to project teams and stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle. Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in business process improvement, and incorporate relevant insights into organizational strategies and initiatives. Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyse data, identify trends, and develop actionable insights. Excellent project management skills, including the ability to prioritise tasks, manage timelines, and allocate resources effectively. Solid understanding of process improvement methodologies used to identify, analyse, and enhance the efficiency, effectiveness, and quality of business processes. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization. Demonstrated ability to drive change and foster a culture of continuous improvement within an organization. Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams, build consensus, and drive results in a collaborative environment.
