You have the power to shape things and individuals to make them better.About the Role:We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Improvement and Planning Principal to join our WA Mining team based at the Mining Hub in Pinjarra. This strategic senior role is ideal for someone who is passionate about business improvement and strategic planning.In this role you will lead the development and execution of business planning initiatives while driving continuous improvement across all facets of our operations. You will be at the forefront of optimising processes and improving operational efficiency, ensuring that our business plans align with Alcoa's operational philosophy. Reporting to the Manager of WA Mines, your contributions will directly impact our success and long-term sustainability of our Mining Operations in Australia.

Key Responsibilities:Develop and implement a location-specific business system strategy that aligns with our operational philosophy, goals, and values.Provide expert advice, coaching and training and problem-solving expertise to the location management teams on the deployment and implementation of the Business management systems.Carry out regular audits with the lead team to determine the health of systems and facilitate the development of actions to address any issues with the deployment.Mentor and develop the leadership team to ensure they are aligned with our best practices and methodologies.Provide ongoing support to Production Managers in applying these principles effectively.Lead business improvement and problem-solving initiatives across all levels of the WA Mining Hub. Provide guidance to the location management team and their staff change management and effectively using the system.Provide training and coaching to line management and business improvement teams on the practical application of these tools and methodologies to drive operational excellence.What's on offer:Career development opportunities to pursue your passionBenefits allowanceManagement Vehicle AllowancePerformance related bonus (variable)16 weeks paid parental leave schemeSocial and diversity focused engagement opportunitiesWhat you can bring to the role:Ideally you will have a bachelor's degree in engineering, business administration, mining or a related field.Proven experience in business improvement methodologies (such as Lean, Six Sigma) and strategic planning.Working knowledge from positions in Mining, Refining, Smelting, and metal production is desirable; wider industry experience is also considered.Strong leadership skills with the ability to coach and mentor teams at all levels.Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.Demonstrated ability to lead large-scale change initiatives and overcome resistance to change.Experience with project management and operational planning.Application Closing Date:
