As part of our Naval Combat Systems group, the Program Headmark Business Improvement Analyst is responsible for planning and implementing improvements to the Naval Combat Systems business in the areas of:
Operating ModelPeoplePerformance & QualityInfrastructureYou will be responsible for identifying, planning and implementing opportunities for improvement within the scope of the program as described above, typically focusing on one of the above areas.
Further, the successful candidate will: The Business Improvement Analyst will, under direction and with the help of a project lead, execute approved Business Improvement projects, focusing on:
Project scope definition and management.Project planning development of milestones and key deliverables, resource, demand and budget.Information and data gathering and analysis.Definition, analysis and improvement of processes.Root cause analysis.Rolling out new processes and initiatives into the NCS business, including change management.Comply with legislation and Company policies, processes and instructions, including those relating to non-discrimination, safety and duty of care and the quality management system.Flexible work arrangements such as hybrid work from home / office, 9 day fortnight will be considered for this role.
About youThe position would suit someone with an extensive background in business improvement analysis, preferably from a heavily regulated industry such as defence, technology or banking.
Additional skills: Strong organisational skills.Understanding and experience using Business Improvement tools and methodologies.Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with a range of stakeholders.Understanding of how good processes are constructed and the benefits they bring.Strong verbal and written communication skills.Ability to interpret and follow high level feedback and requirements.Ability to work with ambiguous requirements.Can interrogate a statement to derive a clear scope or requirement for delivery of work.Qualifications in business improvement or related field will be advantageous but are not necessary.As Defence security clearance is required for this role, applicants will be required to hold an Australian Defence Security Clearance to NV1 level or have the ability to gain one.
