We are seeking an enthusiastic team member to provide business excellence to our dedicated team.Job DescriptionWorking closely with the Strategy and Innovation Team, the Business Growth Manager will be responsible for identifying and delivering on strategic opportunities to both grow and deliver continuous improvement of the Vet Business.
The role will lead the development of the overall Vet Strategic Plan, working with departments to identify priorities to enable this plan.
The role will also work in collaboration with the IT and Digital teams to identify continuous improvement opportunities that will enable improved productivity within the Vet Business (such as AI opportunities).These initiatives and projects are expected to vary dependent on the current business requirements.
The role will focus on both short and long-term strategic initiatives and projects that require increased support to gain traction within the business.Key Accountabilities/ResponsibilitiesDevelopment of Strategic PlanSupport the General Manager Strategy & Innovation and Chief Operating Officer, Vet Services, in the development of the Strategic Plan, including support of Board reporting requirements.Work in collaboration with key departments to develop respective strategies that support the execution of the Vet Business Strategy.Assess and monitor progress against strategic plans within the financial year, identifying where re-direction, re-prioritization or support is required to ensure successful delivery.Delivery of Strategic & Growth InitiativesIdentify key strategic and growth initiatives that will support the strategic plan, calculating the estimated benefits and effort to deliver on these to prioritize roll-out of these initiatives.Implement operational strategies that deliver on organizational priorities with a focus on growing and engaging the front-line workforce, process efficiency, high patient care standards and business growth.Design and implement these priority business strategies with a focus on growing the business.Vet lead on major change initiatives and projects.Work with the supporting departments to deliver on their initiatives, identifying and leading the requirements from the vet business to operationalize the outcomes within the clinic and hospital network.Support collaboration and integration between General Practice, Specialty & Emergency and Retail to drive team member engagement, improved client experience and referrals.Support operational communication to clinics and hospitals around major initiatives, changes or updates.Be a change champion, and work collaboratively with the broader Vet Services business to 'bring people on the journey.Conduct research and provide insights (where applicable) on initiatives.Proactive approach to identifying issues, proposing solutions, and driving implementation.Identification of Innovation and Continuous Improvement OpportunitiesIdentify key initiatives to improve the efficiency and working models of clinics and hospitals to improve the productivity of front-line teams.Accountable for operational excellence including identification and deployment of highest impact operational improvement initiatives across the clinic/hospital network and vet services and design and delivery of capability training programs to ensure operational excellence and efficient ways of working are implemented.Collaborate with the Digital and Vet IT teams to innovate the Vet Services business, with a focus on automation and AI opportunities.Design and implement these priority business opportunities with a focus on improving productivity.Work with the broader Strategy & Innovation team to identify the required communications and change management required for successful implementation of these initiatives and realize intended benefits.Clear and regular communication of relevant updates to front-line teams.QualificationsOver 5 years experience in both growth strategy and implementation with experience in the healthcare, medical, veterinary or relevant service-based industry.Degree qualified in a relevant field or MBA.Strong financial and commercial acumen, with understanding of budgets and business-planning.Independent operator with a passion for veterinary operations & desire to progress.Goal oriented – setting objectives & managing challenges.Reasoned problem solving – identifying issues, providing solutions.Proven change management experience.Outcome and delivery focused.Strong collaborator with excellent stakeholder management.Excellent communicator (both written and verbal) with strong leadership and strategic thinking skills.Proactive, accountable, shows initiative & the drive to achieve results.Team player with both internal & external stakeholders.Additional InformationFit with Private EquityUnderstands how Private Equity works and how Private Equity thinks about success.Financially literate; has an interest in numbers and the business strategy of the organisation; experience in a P&L role would be valuable.Effective at influencing and leading across all levels of the organisation, the executive leadership team, professionals, casual workers.Does not get lost in the "fluffy stuff;" has a bias for pragmatism over perfectionism; has courage and decisiveness to prioritize, as well as deprioritize what is not important.Effective in a fast-paced environment.Seniority levelMid-Senior levelEmployment typeFull-timeJob functionVeterinary#J-18808-Ljbffr
