Our specially trained doctors, nurses and aircrew use helicopters, turbo prop aircraft, aeromedical jets and patient transport vehicles to provide critical support to over 8,500 patients each year.The roleWe currently have an opportunity for a Business Finance Partner to join the organisation within our Northern Operations and become a key member of CareFlight's Finance team.Reporting to the Group Commercial Manager, your key objectives for the role will be to deliver all aspects of management reporting as required for Northern Operations & Flight Operations, as well as ensuring financial data integrity to improve financial performance. Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:Preparation of standardised monthly financial reporting, annual budgets, forecasting, scenario analysis and provide support for consolidated Company board reporting in relation to Northern Operations & Flight Operations and its key contractsReview of monthly financial performance against key contracts and preparation of accurate and timely commentary against budget or forecast for senior management to highlight emerging trends and provide insights on key performance drivers to assist in their decision makingEnsure all potential risks and opportunities are highlighted well in advance and quantifiedPreparation of required monthly journals including accruals for Northern Operations & Flight OperationsTimely preparation of any assigned balance sheet reconciliations and ensuring reconciling items are dealt with appropriatelyFinancial support of day-to-day business operations including investigation, analysis, and other ad hoc reporting as required relating to Northern Operations & Flight OperationsPerform ad hoc analysis of proposals and business cases and their financial viability and help identify business opportunities and/or cost saving initiativesOverseeing the raising of all customer invoicing for key revenue contracts in Northern Operations and follow up as requiredPartner with stakeholders to provide value added support and guidanceAssistance in external audit process including liaising with auditors and providing clear and accurate support/analysis as requiredAssistance with inputs relating to Northern Operations & Flight Operations for preparation of weekly/monthly cashflow forecasting.To be successful in this role you will have the following:At least 5 years post graduate experience in business planning and commercial analysis in mid to large organisations, preferably in operationsDemonstrated experience in similar roles with strong commercial acumen, analytical and business partnering skillsStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsDemonstrated attention to detail and accuracyAdvanced excel and system skillsExcellent written and oral communication tailored to the audienceAbility to prioritise and plan workload and be flexible and adaptable to changing priorities.Proficient with Outlook, PowerPoint, and WordAble to work autonomouslyAbility to communicate with people at all levels (internal and external) and influence stakeholdersStrong customer service mindset with a team player mentalityHigh degree of professional integrity, proactive with "can-do" attitude, demonstrates initiative and willingness to learn.The following will be highly regarded:Experience using Sage Intacct, Adaptive and Power BI.Experience in organisations where revenue and/or costs is heavily contract based and/or labour is a significant business cost driver and complex with awards/EBAsSome background in Big 4, Mid Tier professional accounting practices as well as commerce.Demonstrated experience in proactively taking steps to improve existing processes, procedures, and systems.How to applyIf you would like to be part of our team, you can apply using the link below.
