The Digital Services and Information Technology Command (DSITC) is responsible for establishing, leading and managing the digital and technology functions within QCS.
The Command works with business areas to ensure ICT investment aligns and supports the agency's strategic direction, exploring emerging digital solutions whilst leveraging and managing existing business critical ICT environments.
The functions within the DSITC includes: ICT strategy and solution design and delivery; information management; business systems applications; cloud services and infrastructure; end user computing; and cyber security.
Key Responsibilities Represent DSITC in cross-divisional engagements and QCS in development and delivery of whole-of-Government ICT solutions, with close liaison with the Queensland Government Customer and Digital Group.
Represent QCS in interagency data sharing improvement initiatives ensuring data integrity, cyber security and architectural requirements are addressed.
Lead and foster collaboration between DSITC and business stakeholders, influence and grow relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Represent DSITC to QCS business units and governance groups, often acting as the primary point of contact.
Lead the engagement with business stakeholders to understand their current challenges or opportunities to form as basis of broader potential IT solutions.
Lead the documentation of the digital and IT components of QCS' opportunity briefs, concept briefs and business requirements specification.
Work with internal DSITC staff and QCS planning and investment units to ensure solutions are aligned with QCS planning, are properly funded and have followed approved governance processes.
Ensure that all phases of the software development lifecycle, including maintenance and support, are considered in any investment proposals.
Provide assistance, advice and support to the Technical Design Authority by ensuring deliverables are progressed in a timely manner.
Provide advice on the scale, complexity and cost of proposed ICT solutions and provide recommendations on preferred solution following consultation with subject matter experts.
Manage and coordinate the DSITC solution delivery processes, ensuring the process is subject to continuous improvement.
Oversee the work of a small team within Business Engagement, DSITC, to ensure customer expectations are being met and the team is delivering as required.
Own the engagement, new business and pipeline management process and work closely with the design team on solution definition and service design processes.
Work with senior customers and stakeholders to develop and monitor Service Level Agreements and Key Performance Indicators.
Assist in the identification, addressing and scheduling of issues, risks and solutions that may impact the successful implementation of business initiatives and delivery of ICT services.
Lead activities in building proof-of-concept solutions and reporting to validate the feasibility of proposed concepts in meeting functional and non-functional requirements.
Lead initiatives and priorities on behalf of the Chief Digital Officer that span QCS and Whole of Government stakeholder domains.
