Business Director - Wind Energy

Details of the offer

Our Power business Our energy future is being transformed by technological innovations that will deliver more sustainable outcomes, bringing greater energy security & affordability to businesses & communities. Our power business works throughout Australasia on iconic projects that are shaping the energy transition journey to net-zero carbon emissions. We deliver innovative technical solutions to our clients in high voltage power generation, transmission and distribution. The opportunity With our current renewable energy target at 82% renewables by 2030, there continues to be a strong growth in renewables, and we are seeing significant projects in renewables being launched regularly by our clients. This newly created national role will complement our existing team and will take our onshore windfarm or wind energy offering to the next level in Australia. This role will predominately be a market-facing one, with your unique knowledge of the sector, seeing you build on existing relationships and developing new ones with key clients (including developers, banks, OEMs and government). Understanding the client's business and strategic needs will help drive successful outcomes and repeat business. Another facet of the role will use your technical and project delivery experience and see you taking on the role of Project Director on major projects, growing our capability in this area, as you utilize the whole of Beca's services and help drive innovations and expertise. The role can be based in either our Melbourne or Sydney office. About you To be successful in this position you'll be a recognized Leader in the Wind Energy sector and have a proven track record in the project lifecycle of significant and major onshore Wind Farm projects. Coming from a consultant or developer background, you will be able to lead tenders and bid teams on large utility scale opportunities. You enjoy finding new revenue opportunities, as much as learning and understanding what the needs of the client are. Being a relationship builder, you have the capability to initiate, manage and develop strategic and operational relationships internally and externally to influence and coordinate people and skillsets to effect change to benefit our communities, people, and clients. You are someone who embraces challenges, promotes innovation, and leads with a mindset of continual improvement as well as connecting the Beca network to bring the best of our business to the region.
