The Role-
Join our dynamic Northern Rivers Team, who are dedicated to providing high-quality Vocational Education & Training services. As a Business Development Officer, you will play a crucial role in driving growth and expansion opportunities in the region. You will be at the forefront of establishing and nurturing partnerships, identifying new business avenues, and implementing strategic initiatives to enhance our market presence and reach.
Responsibilities Include:

Conduct market research to identify potential business opportunities and industry needs
Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, key stakeholders, organisations and individuals seeking training services
Implement effective sales strategies to achieve revenue targets and business objectives
Collaborate with the management team to develop and execute strategic plans for business expansion and growth
Build and nurture a network of strategic partners, industry associations and key stake holders
Promote vocational learning within the community
Develop strong links with local businesses, employment providers, high schools, and the community at large
Understand client needs, offer tailored solutions and negotiate contracts

About You:

Proven experience in Business Development, Sales or related roles within the Vocational Education & Training sector is desirable
Excellent networking and relationship-building skills with the ability to engage with diverse stakeholders and influence decision-makers
Proven track record of achieving sales targets, driving revenue growth, and delivering measurable outcomes in a business development role
Local community knowledge and connections
People person with an interest in networking and developing relationships
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to develop and implement effective business plans
Strong analytical skills with the ability to conduct market research and identify business opportunities
Hold a current valid driver's licence
Working With Children Check

Ideally, you have previous experience in the vocational education sector, sales, and a strong knowledge of the local community.
