The Business Development Manager role will be focused on building and maintaining a pipeline of new business opportunities in new and existing clients through a proactive outreach. We need an experienced communicator who is driven on achieving new business sales deals, can build exceptional relationships and thrives on getting out face to face with their customers. Reporting to the National Service Sales Manager, this role will play a key role in the growth and success of the Service Sales business.
Job Responsibilities: Drive service sales activity in the Telco space to exceed business objectives, sales growth, and profitability targetsDevelop & implement Service Sales strategies to maximise potential in the Telco segmentExploit all opportunities for market development within Vertiv's Telco portfolio and with prospective new Telco customers by collaborating and developing Vertiv's service value proposition with Services Sales BDM's and the broader Sales teamsIdentify Telco Sales opportunities, produce offerings and initiate activity to sell Vertiv Service deliverable and ensure follow ups for such activitiesDevelop account/territory plans and action plans to achieve targetsIdentify, evaluate and acquire new Telco business from clients with existing installed equipment not under a maintenance contract that relates to Vertiv's assets.Maintain ongoing communication with existing Telco customers and provide feedback on customer service issues and opportunitiesAssist and participate in customer demonstration or promotional seminars, Data centre assessments, extended warranty etc and deliver on company penetration expectationsProvide written agreements and quotations to Telco clients and prospects for servicesEffectively handle service sales related customer issues while maintaining customer confidenceHunt for Service Contract opportunities to increase contract revenues while maintaining margin objectivesWork with the Associate Director, Sales - Telecom ANZ and National Service Sales Manager to drive and grow strategies and market expansion
 Job Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, preferably with experience of working in data center/critical infrastructure field.5+ years experience in service sales Business development experience Strong commercial acumen   Sales experience in service sales, consistently meeting or exceeding targetsCustomer first mentality and approachAmbitious 'hunter' mindsetStrong relationship building and organizational skillsExcellent interpersonal and communication skills
