Pullman Port Douglas Sea Temple Resort & Spa, located in the picturesque town of Port Douglas, just an hour's drive north of Cairns, offers a range of accommodations including studios, two and three-bedroom apartments, and a three-bedroom beach front private villa. Our resort offers all-day dining at ALUCO Restaurant & Bar, a relaxing Pool Bar, and Vie Spa with customised facial treatments and relaxing massages leaving guests renewed and revitalised. With two meeting rooms accommodating up to 200 guests and three additional wedding locations at the resort, we cater to both leisure and corporate travellers alike. The Role Salary $80,000 + Super & Access to Accor Hotel Staff Benefits Enjoy a hybrid role with the flexibility to be based in Cairns, Port Douglas, or Palm Cove, with occasional travel to the resort as needed Subsidised Staff Accommodation available within a share house within close proximity, if required Primary Responsibilities Develop and manage a portfolio of key accounts across meetings, events, and corporate segments to drive revenue and grow repeat business Actively seek new business opportunities for the resort, focusing on conferences, incentives, weddings, and corporate events Maximise the use of Accor's loyalty programs, including Accor Live Limitless (ALL), ALL Meeting Planner, and Accor Plus, to attract and retain clients Collaborate with the Sales Executive to ensure all leads are followed up promptly, using efficient systems to convert inquiries into confirmed bookings Deliver compelling presentations to prospective clients, showcasing the resort's facilities, event spaces, and unique offerings to secure new business Monitor market trends and competitors, recommending adjustments to strategies to maintain a competitive edge in the meetings and events space Work closely with operational teams to ensure smooth event delivery and exceptional guest experiences, fostering repeat business Align with the marketing and revenue management teams to optimise pricing and promotions for meetings and events Represent the resort at tourism and industry events, building relationships and promoting the venue as a premium destination for meetings and events Prepare monthly reports on lead generation, conversion rates, and sales activities, providing insights and recommendations for future growth Skills and Experience Proven experience in business development or sales, preferably within a hotel, resort, or event-focused environment Strong knowledge of meetings, incentives, conferences, and events (MICE) markets Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills with a customer-centric approach Ability to deliver engaging sales presentations and manage negotiations effectively Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously Familiarity with Accor's systems, loyalty programs, and sales platforms (e.g., ANAIS) is advantageous Experience working with operational teams to ensure flawless execution of events Accor Benefits ALL Heartist Membership - Take advantage of discounts on accommodation and food & beverage worldwide!
