Position Overview: We seek an experienced and dynamic Business Development Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in sales, specifically within the plastics packaging industry, and a deep understanding of the food manufacturing sector. This role is critical in driving our business growth by identifying new opportunities, building strong client relationships, and delivering tailored packaging solutions that meet their needs.
Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement a strategic sales plan to achieve sales targets and expand our customer base within the food manufacturing industry. Identify and pursue new business opportunities through market research, networking, and lead generation. Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders in target companies. Understand client's needs and challenges and provide customised packaging solutions that align with their business objectives. Collaborate with internal teams, including product development, marketing, and customer service, to ensure the successful delivery of solutions and customer satisfaction. Conduct market analysis to stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging opportunities. Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations, proposals, and contracts. Participate in industry events, trade shows, and conferences to promote our products and services and expand our network. Provide regular sales reports and forecasts to senior management, highlighting achievements, challenges, and areas for improvement. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field. Minimum of 5 years of experience in business development or sales within the plastics packaging industry, focusing on selling to food manufacturing companies. Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets. Strong understanding of the food manufacturing industry and its packaging requirements. Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders. Self-motivated, results-oriented, and able to work independently and as part of a team. Proficient in using CRM software and other sales tools.
