Job Description - Business Development Manager (NSW, ACT and Tasmania, Based in Sydney) (MER0003FXH) Business Development Manager, Retail and Fleet - Mercedes-Benz Vans (NSW, ACT, TAS) We have a very exciting opportunity for a passionate individual to join our Vans Sales team!
In this Sydney-based role, you will be the face of Mercedes-Benz Vans for NSW, ACT, and TAS, collaborating with Retailers and some strategic account customers to foster strong relationships and grow the business.
This role includes a broad variety of responsibilities, and the opportunity to have a big impact on the sales performance of the business.
The Opportunity: Reporting to the National Manager - Retail Sales, your key responsibilities will include:
Developing and maintaining a high-performing, engaged, and motivated Sales Retailer NetworkMaintaining productive relationships with all Retailers to achieve Mercedes-Benz Vans' strategic objectives while acting as an escalation point for Mercedes-Benz Australia mattersWorking in partnership with Retailers to achieve targets/KPIs, along with customer-focused processes and cultureIn conjunction with Dealer Principals and Sales Managers, developing proactive marketing plans and sales activities to drive retail enquiries and salesMonitoring the Retailer sales funnel across new, demonstrator, and fleet sales throughout the end-to-end processes, using data-based tracking and steering of sales targets.Being actively involved with each dealership in attracting and maintaining volume (fleet) businessProfessionally representing and promoting the brand to key customer/user groups, including Fleet Management Organisations (FMOs), Government departments, rental company corporate head offices, and national associations.Who We Are Looking For: The position plays a key role in achieving our business goals.
The right person for this role will be a confident communicator with high attention to detail and a deep understanding of business processes.
A proactive and 'make it happen' attitude and an ability to multi-task across operational and strategic goals is essential.
A tertiary qualification in Business or Marketing is preferential.
Experience in the Agency model as well as fleet sales would be advantageous.
