UGL is inviting applications for the role of a Business Development Manager in the Resources & Energy West division.
This key role involves developing business strategies in the Mining and Iron Ore sector that is crucial to unlocking UGL's growth plans for this sector.
The Role
Reporting to the Pre Contracts Manager, Resources & Energy West, the Business Development Manager will:
Develop and manage pursuit plans for mining/metals sector clients.Identify new opportunities to facilitate long-term maintenance, capital projects, and major projects.Work closely with operational leaders and the pre-contracts/tender team providing crucial client information to support the development of proposals and tenders.Proactively engage in industry networking opportunities to reinforce UGL's brand presence.Convert networking contacts into productive client relationships leading to increased business opportunities.Deliver forecasted revenue growth to enable the business growth plans to be achieved.About You Demonstrated experience in business development in an engineering, construction, and maintenance organisation, preferably in the mining sector.Proven ability to create influential relationships with managers, clients, and teams.A well-established network within the mining/iron ore sector.Proficient in CRM, MS Word, Excel, and internal systems.Experience in proposal development or technical writing.Outstanding communication skills, both oral and written.Ability to multi-task and meet strict deadlines.Excellent networking and relationship-building skills within the industry.Solid business understanding and commercial acumen.Interpersonal skills – relationship building, collaboration, and influencing.What We Offer
