Who you are As a Mid-market Business Development Manager specialising in local government and healthcare, you will focus on building a robust pipeline of opportunities and implement a proven sales strategy to drive impactful results. You are a driven and experienced sales professional with a demonstrated ability to expand territories and unlock growth. A natural problem-solver and networker, you'll bring the Humanforce story to life by cultivating relationships with key customers and partners in your vertical. Your ability to collaborate effectively across teams and manage internal interlocks will ensure you deliver exceptional outcomes for customers, positioning Humanforce as a trusted partner in local government and healthcare. What you will do You'll be a hunter at heart, owning and driving lead generation and top of funnel pipeline activity to continuously drive new sales activity. Generate new business relationships and foster existing relationships within local government and the healthcare vertical. Leverage your business savvy and commercial expertise to cultivate and nurture a robust pipeline of sales opportunities, driving us toward our annual sales targets and propelling the company toward its ambitious growth aspirations. You will grasp the metrics for your territory and use these to make data-driven, informed decisions. You will ensure the timely & accurate updating of the CRM and the provision of Sales Reporting to monitor pipeline progression and support financial forecasting. Be an advocate for sales excellence across the business. What you'll need Experience working and selling SaaS software, in either an SMB or Mid-Market role. Confidence in owning the end-to-end sales cycle, from lead generation, through to closing. Experience in mid-market sized deals, 500+ employees plus deal sizes, with a sales cycle of roughly 3 months. Problem solving mindset - The ability to deliver value and sell a solution versus a product. A strong track record of success in hitting revenue targets. Solid understanding and knowledge within a particular sales methodology. Challenger preferred. A problem solver who can identify challenges, propose creative solutions and overcome objections. Good practices around documenting and reporting within a CRM system (we use SugarCRM) but open to any CRM system exposure. Some 'nice to haves' Experience in Human Capital Management (HCM) industry encompassing workforce management, HR and Payroll. Experience selling multi-service products is ideal.
