We have an exciting opportunity for a Business Development Manager to join our team. Our Marketing, Business Development & Communications team comprises 14 people nationally, and supports the firm with a range of activities, including development and implementation of sector and client growth strategies, tenders and bids, branding and design, events and promotional activities, copywriting, digital marketing and media relations.

About the role
Reporting into the Head of Business Development, you will play a crucial role in developing and executing the firm's business development strategy. You will develop a strong understanding of the service offerings of each sector and practice group and work closely with the national and state practice area leads, key partners and state marketing managers to support the implementation of sector, practice area and key client plans.

You will also:

Work with partners to identify and pursue new target clients, referrers and revenue areas;Identify potential opportunities by monitoring and researching client and market developments;Create a business development culture within the firm that increases the understanding and benefits of business development activity;Work with the marketing team to develop marketing collateral, and review and maintain relevant website content;Support the bid and tender team to manage end-to-end bids during busy periods. 28th June, 2024 About the team

About you
We are seeking an existing BD Manager or BD Executive/Consultant seeking that next step to advance their career and develop their skills in a supportive and values driven environment.

To be successful in this role you will have:
Prior experience successfully leading the development and ongoing implementation of marketing and BD plans within a legal or professional services environment;A deep understanding of interpreting data to inform decisions;Excellent time management and project management skills;Demonstrated ability to build rapport and trusted relationships across the business and with key industry partners;A collaborative approach as well as the ability to work autonomously in a dynamic environment, with conflicting priorities and stakeholder expectations;Ability to influence stakeholders and innovate in the pursuit of agreed outcomes.Who we are
