What to Expect Tesla's Business Development team is a global team that works to analyze markets, shape emerging business models, and advise industrial energy business strategy.
Today's energy storage market is growing rapidly, but not as fast as it could be.
Many hurdles and barriers remain: outdated interconnection and permitting processes, lack of understanding of storage performance and cost, imperfect financing solutions, and more.
Tesla wants to knock down these barriers to open an even larger wave of storage deployments.
The ideal candidate will be an entrepreneur and business developer, someone who can quickly understand a problem, identify a solution, then draw on resources from across Tesla's policy, product, sales, and engineering teams to implement it.
This will also require a capable storyteller who is comfortable interfacing with executive teams from utilities, regulators, and developers, understanding their pain points, and tying it all together in a narrative that motivates change.
Tesla's mission is to accelerate the transition to sustainable energy.
This role will make that happen.
Please note: this role is open to applicants based in either Sydney or Melbourne.
