This role is part of the Business Development & Commercialisation (BD&C) team within the Industry & Innovation Portfolio. BD&C leads IP management and commercialisation and manages partnerships with industry, government and other external partners.
As Business Development Manager, you will operate as a key interface between UNSW and external partners, focusing on driving innovation and commercialising university IPs through licensing deals, partner collaboration grants and research partnerships with global and local industry partners to achieve key revenue targets. You will also focus on expanding the UNSW industry network and supporting commercialisation pathways such as spinouts and licensing.
In this role, you will build and maintain key relationships across the Enterprise Legal, Founders, Research Division, External Relations Division, Philanthropy Division, as well as with Faculty Executives, researchers and academics. You will also work closely with the New Venture Team to support spinout opportunities and facilitate university medical initiatives including the Health Translational Hub (HTH) and the Randwick Health Innovation Precinct (RHIP).
