Business Development Manager - International Freight ForwardingA seasoned Business Development Manager (BDM) / Sales Executive is sought to join an Australian Owned International Freight Forwarder in Brisbane.
ABOUT THE ROLE: The Business Development Manager is responsible for originating new client relationships, while renewing and growing existing clients, and driving partnership discussions. Key areas also include building a dynamic set of growth opportunities through new business and identifying leads. Driving revenue and maintaining a high level of customer service focus is paramount in this role.
The team have autonomy to do what needs to be done and are supported through communication and experience. The business is developing a culture of high customer service, and this is being driven by our on-going commitment to the training of staff and providing an environment in which the company can retain and empower the employees further in their own career development.
ROLE REQUIREMENTS: Build a dynamic set of growth opportunities through new business development and identifying leadsGenerating revenue across existing accountsDiligently responsible for planning and managing direct sales activities to prospect and attain new accounts and develop weekly, monthly and yearly pipeline (minimum 15 client visits per week)Identify market trends and translate insights into actionable plansAchieving sales targets, set KPI's and negotiate customer contractsWillingness to challenge the status quo, explore new avenues, and present creative solutions.Monthly reporting on pipeline to Sales DirectorAchieve monthly and yearly targets and KPI's setABOUT YOU: Demonstrated experience of building market and industry relationshipsHigh-level communication skillsDemonstrated experience with selling LCL / FCL and AIR freight solutionsCurrently employed in a Business Development capacity within the International Freight Forwarding Sector or similarProven ability to negotiateExperience with design and implementation of business development strategyAbility to self motivateExperience working to and exceeding targetsWHAT'S IN IT FOR YOU: Competitive salary and commission structureDynamic work environment with excellent support from management and team membersHybrid role - work from home optionsFree onsite parkingDiversity & InclusionTo qualify for this role you must have current local experience in Sales within International Freight Forwarding and have full working rights in Australia!
