A seasoned Business Development Manager (BDM) or a KAM wanting to take the next step into sales is sought to join an International Freight Forwarder in Brisbane.
Join a multinational Freight Forwarder and Logistics Services provider with global presence or an Australian owned International Forwarder. Choose between large corporate environment and smaller growing business! ABOUT THE ROLE: The Business Development Manager is responsible for originating new client relationships, while renewing and growing existing clients, and driving partnership discussions. Key areas also include building a dynamic set of growth opportunities through new business and identifying leads. Driving revenue and maintaining a high level of customer service focus is paramount in this role.
The team has autonomy to do what needs to be done and are supported through communication and experience. The business is developing a culture of high customer service, driven by an ongoing commitment to staff training and providing an environment in which the company can retain and empower employees in their career development.
ROLE REQUIREMENTS: Build a dynamic set of growth opportunities through new business development and identifying leads. Generate revenue across existing accounts. Diligently plan and manage direct sales activities to prospect and attain new accounts, developing a weekly, monthly, and yearly pipeline (minimum 15 client visits per week). Identify market trends and translate insights into actionable plans. Achieve sales targets, set KPIs, and negotiate customer contracts. Willingness to challenge the status quo, explore new avenues, and present creative solutions. Monthly reporting on pipeline to Sales Director. Achieve monthly and yearly targets and KPIs set. ABOUT YOU: Demonstrated experience in building market and industry relationships. High-level communication skills. Experience selling FCL and air freight solutions. Currently employed in a Business Development capacity within the International Freight Forwarding Sector or similar. KAMs looking to take the next step will be considered. Proven ability to negotiate. Experience in designing and implementing business development strategies. Ability to self-motivate and motivate a team. Experience working to and exceeding targets.
